Shamrock “Luck” Printable

I have spring fever. It’s so silly because there’s a ton of snow on the ground yet. We’ve gotten more snow than we’ve had in many years. I’ve had enough. Mother Nature doesn’t seem to care. So, I’ve decided the only sensible thing to do is bring spring inside the house.

St. Patrick’s Day is always the first hopeful sign of spring for me. Maybe it’s the color green? Last year was the first year my son really got into the occasion. We built a Leprechaun trap in high hopes of catching one of those little green guys, but failed miserably. He got into our chocolate stash, but somehow managed to escape what we believed to be a high-quality trap made of popsicle sticks, cardboard and tape.
Just the fact we were able to attract him into the house, though, was reason enough to celebrate. Why? I was told they leave some luck behind in each and every house they enter. This year, even if we don’t attract another Leprechaun into the house (which we will, because we’re building the greatest trap EVER), we’re preparing with this cute framed shamrock printable. If a shamrock can’t bring you luck, well then, my friend, you’re just out of luck. Period.

I saw something similar to this printable that I created in a home décor store last year for over $20. Seriously? It’s super cute, and I wanted it, but I wasn’t going to pay that kind of money. So, this year, I decided to make my own. Since I had everything but the shamrock, this project literally cost me $1 to create.

Here’s what you’ll need to get started:

  • 8″x10″ frame
  • Glue dots
  • Glittery shamrock (I purchased my bag of 12 from the Dollar Store)
  • Shamrock “Luck” Printable (Download the printable and print out as an 8″x10″ photo)

Take your shamrock and put glue dots around the edges and a couple in the center to make sure it sticks to the printable.

Then flip it over and place it on the printable. I put mine at a slight slant and then I accidentally crinkled the top of the paper. Grrrrr! No worries. When I got it into the frame, it looked just fine.

Mishaps like this are very common for me. That’s why I need this sign. I need a lot of luck. Blessings more than luck, but I’ll take luck, too.

Are you in need of a little luck these days? Hope this fun printable comes in handy!
