Happy New Year! I'm so excited to welcome in 2014, and hope you are too. Today is my last vacation day before reality sets in and my alarm goes off tomorrow morning for work. I've taken a bit of time away from my blog over the holidays to spend quality time with family and friends and just refresh a bit before the new year began. I'm happy to be back and so excited for what the new year will bring.
I was just putting something away in the kitchen today when I realized it had been a long time since I cleaned the top of my refrigerator. Am I the only one who forgets to do this? When I was up there getting rid of all of the dust bunnies I discovered my long lost cabinets above the fridge. Does anyone else have these? The cabinets you put things in you never use because you can't reach them without standing on a chair? As long as I was up there, I opened up the doors to get a peek of what was inside. A quesadilla maker, a sandwich maker, an electric knife and my blender. My blender. That's when I got the bright idea that today would be a perfect day for making milkshakes. So that's what we did.
Ingredients
- 1 cup milk
- 4 Tablespoons malted milk powder (LOVE this stuff)
- 3-4 scoops of vanilla ice cream
- 3 crushed Oreo cookies (and 1 extra for garnish)
- ¼ cup Hershey's chocolate syrup
Instructions
- Blend all of the ingredients together.
- Sprinkle the extra crushed Oreo on top for garnish.

This sounds so good! While much of the rest fo the country is freezing, it's actually pretty nice (and perfect weather for a milkshake!) here in Phoenix! Pinned 🙂 Thanks so much for linking up to Freedom Fridays!

Jamie, I'm jealous of your weather! However, we finally have a little relief today. It's going to make it to 30 degrees. Thanks so much for stopping by. I really enjoy your blog and appreciate the opportunity to link up to Freedom Fridays!
