Air Fryer Scallops with Lemon Cream Sauce

Scallops browned to perfection in an air fryer, then drizzled with a lemon basil cream sauce.

Instructions

  1. Prepare your air fryer basket by spraying it with cooking oil.
  2. Add scallops to air fryer basket in a single layer.
  3. Air fry at 400ºF for 8-10 minutes, flipping halfway through.
  4. While scallops are in the air fryer, prepare the lemon cream sauce.
  5. Add olive oil, garlic, and red pepper flakes to a skillet.
  6. Cook, stirring frequently, until fragrant. This should take about 1-2 minutes.
  7. Stir in chicken broth, heavy cream, lemon juice and basil. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
  8. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until slightly thickened. This will take about 3-5 minutes.
  9. Drizzle over air fried scallops.
