It's time to celebrate the beginning of summer with this gorgeous and fresh Fruit Salsa. While it's quite delicious on its own, it also works great as a topping. . .and it's so simple to prepare!

    HOW TO MAKE FRUIT SALSA

To make this fruit salsa, you'll need:

    • Kiwis
    • Apples
    • Blueberries
    • Strawberries
    • Sugar
    • Brown sugar
    • Strawberry jam

    HOW TO PREPARE THE FRUIT

    Step 1: Wash the Fruit

Make sure you wash all the fruit that you’re using in this recipe before you begin slicing any of it.

Step 2: Peel the Apples and Kiwis

Remove the cores from your apples and peel them before dicing them into small pieces. You can use an apple corer to do this, or just a knife. Peel and dice the kiwis, too.

    Step 3: Chop the Strawberries

Grab your strawberries and chop them into small pieces. You can save the tops for making some tasty fruit infused water!

Once all of the fruit is cleaned and chopped, combine the fruit in a bowl with the sugars and strawberry jam.

CAN I USE FROZEN FRUIT FOR THIS SALSA?

It’s always best to use fresh fruit for salsa. Frozen fruit would give the salsa a "soggy," unappetizing texture.

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO CLEAN FRUIT?

To make cleaning berries easier, place them in a strainer and gently wash them with cool water. You can even use a fruit and veggie spray to help ensure the removal of pesticides.

WHAT KIND OF CHIPS SHOULD I USE FOR FRUIT SALSA?

My favorite chip to make and dip in this salsa are these Pie Crust Chips. Cinnamon sugar chips are also a good option.

If you want to combine sweet and salty, you can use traditional tortilla chips. You can also serve cookies with the dip, such as Nilla Wafers.

HOW DO YOU STORE LEFTOVER FRUIT SALSA?

Store any leftover salsa in a food storage container with an airtight lid. You can use a plastic or glass container for storage. Be sure to put it in the fridge to keep the salsa as fresh as possible.
