A list of my toddler’s 10 favorite books! Kids will beg you to read time and time again! Don’t worry, you’ll enjoy these books, too!
Today I thought I’d share my toddler’s 10 favorite books. They’re actually some of my favorites too. They’re not necessarily classics like Goodnight Moon. In my opinion, some of these are even better. Many of them are animal-related, and a few are touch-and-feel. Any books that engage the kids are usually a hit. Here are her top picks:
Good Morning, Good Night by Piggie Toes Press
This touchable book is perfect for toddlers and features animals waking up in the morning and then going to bed at night after a busy day. The best part of the book is at the end when your child gets to “tuck” the child in the book into bed with a piece of soft material that mimics a real blanket.
Animal Hide & Seek by Stephen Cartwright
My Little Word Book by Roger Priddy
Duck Goes Potty by Michael Dahl
Ok, now this one is hilarious. Duck Goes Potty is about a duck who’s learning to use the potty. The part that children enjoy the most are the little mistakes that Duck makes along the way like falling into the potty and leaving a certain surprise on the floor. My oldest still loves this book and we enjoy reading this one together because it makes us laugh out loud each and every time.
Eight Silly Monkeys by Steve Haskamp
Gossie by Olivier Dunrea
Buzz, Buzz Busy Bees by Dawn Bentley
Yummy, Yucky by Leslie Patricelli
A Cuddle for Little Duck by Claire Freedman & Caroline Pedler
This is such a sweet and heart-warming book. Little duck starts his day with his mama and then goes to explore on his own, playing and splashing with his friends until he’s so tired all he can do is collapse in his mama’s feathers at the end of the day. I love this book and the kids seem to relate to the cute, energetic, little duck.
Little Bunny’s Bedtime by Jane Johnson
I hope you check out my toddler’s 10 favorite books for your family. They really are great reads and your toddler is sure to fall in love with at least one of them. And as always, please share some of your child’s favorites in the comments. I’d love to hear from you!
