Spiked Hot Chocolate
Sweet and creamy hot chocolate spiked with Kahlua and topped with a dollop of tasty whipped cream. It’s heaven in a mug!

Ingredients
- ½ cup water
- ½ cup granulated sugar
- ⅓ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 2 ¼ cups milk
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
- ½ cup Kahlua
- Whipped cream, optional
- Chocolate syrup, optional
- Mini marshmallows, optional
Instructions
- Add water, sugar, cocoa powder, and salt to a medium saucepan. Over medium heat, bring mixture to a rapid simmer while whisking continuously.
- While continuing to whisk, add milk and heavy cream. Allow to cook until heated through.
- Remove from heat and add vanilla and Kahlua. Stir until mixed.
- Pour mixture into mugs, topping with whipped cream, chocolate syrup, and mini marshmallows.
