For the Cake

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Sift flour, salt and baking powder.
  3. Cream butter; add sugar gradually and cream until fluffy.
  4. Add the egg and beat well.
  5. Mix the vanilla extract into the milk.
  6. Alternately add the milk and dry ingredients to the butter and sugar mixture.
  7. Pour into greased 9×13 inch pan.
  8. Sprinkle the raspberries on top of the cake.
  9. Bake for 30 minutes.

For the Glaze

  1. Mix together sugar, butter, milk and vanilla extract until well-combined.
  2. Pour glaze over cake while still warm.
