Brandy Alexander Ice Cream

A dreamy ice cream concoction based off of the beloved Brandy Alexander after-dinner drink. So easy to make and NO MACHINE NEEDED!

Ingredients

  • 16 ounces heavy whipping cream
  • 14 ounces sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 tablespoons Crème de Cacao
  • 2 tablespoons Brandy
  • ½ teaspoon nutmeg
  • Hershey's Chocolate Syrup to taste

Instructions

  • Beat the heavy whipping cream in a large bowl with a hand mixer until stiff peaks start to form.
  • Slowly mix in the sweetened condensed milk and the nutmeg.
  • Add the Crème de Cacao and the Brandy.
  • Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and swirl in some chocolate syrup, to taste
  • Freeze overnight.

  1. Chill Ingredients: To achieve the best texture for your ice cream, ensure that both the heavy whipping cream and sweetened condensed milk are well chilled before using them. This helps the cream whip up faster and creates a smoother texture in the final product.
  2. Alcohol Ratio: Adjust the amount of crème de cacao and brandy according to your preference for alcohol flavor. You can increase or decrease the amount to suit your taste, but be cautious not to add too much, as it can affect the texture of the ice cream and prevent it from freezing properly.
  3. Mixing Technique: When folding in the sweetened condensed milk, alcohol, and nutmeg into the whipped cream, use a gentle folding motion to preserve the airiness of the whipped cream. Overmixing can deflate the whipped cream and result in a denser ice cream. Fold just until the ingredients are evenly incorporated.
