Combine all breading ingredients in a medium mixing bowl with a whisk.
Coat both sides of each chicken wing with breading.
Place wings in greased air fryer basket.
Air fry at 400º Fahrenheit for 18 minutes.
For the Sauce:
Melt butter, then whisk in garlic powder and hot sauce.
When wings are done, place them in a mixing bowl and pour sauce over top of them.
Notes
Even Coating Matters: Ensure each chicken wing is evenly coated with the breading mixture to achieve a uniform texture and flavor after air-frying. This can be achieved by shaking off excess flour and pressing the breading onto the wings gently.
Mind the Temperature: Preheating your air fryer before adding the wings ensures they cook evenly and achieve a crispy exterior. Additionally, keep an eye on the wings towards the end of the cooking time to prevent them from overcooking and becoming dry.
Customize the Sauce: Experiment with different sauces to cater to various tastes. Whether it's a tangy barbecue sauce, a sweet teriyaki glaze, or a zesty lemon pepper seasoning, adjusting the sauce can elevate the flavor profile of your chicken wings to suit different preferences.
