Chocolate box cake mixprepared according to box directions
For the Pudding
1 ¼cupBailey’s Irish Cream
2 ¼cupsmilk
2 - 3.9ozboxes instant chocolate fudge pudding
For the Cream
1 ½cupsheavy whipping cream
¼cupBailey’s Irish Cream
1cuppowdered sugar
1teaspoonvanilla extract
Additional Ingredients
2cupscrushed Oreos
½cupchopped Andes mints
Instructions
Prepare chocolate cake according to box directions. Allow to cool completely.
Cut cake into 1-inch cubes.
To prepare pudding, add Bailey’s Irish Cream, milk, and chocolate fudge pudding to a large mixing bowl. Beat with a hand mixer until pudding thickens. Set aside.
To prepare cream, add heavy whipping cream, Bailey’s Irish Cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla to a large mixing bowl. Beat until cream thickens and peaks form.
To assemble trifle, add half of cake cubes to trifle bowl, followed by half of the pudding mixture, a third of the cream mixture, and third of the crushed Oreos. Repeat these steps again.
Finish the trifle off with the remaining cream mixture and Andes mints.
Notes
You can make this recipe in a larger trifle bowl or small individual dishes. This is a great option for a St. Patrick’s Day party.
Add in other ingredients like graham crackers, chocolate chips, brownies or thin mints.
You can substitute the chocolate pudding for pistachio or vanilla pudding.
