A fun kids treat perfect for mad scientist parties and Halloween! Gummy worms are suspended in green jello and the treat is garnished with a full size worm "crawling" out of the glass!
Green Gelatinlime or other - I used Royal Rebel Force Berry Gelatin from Walmart
6 5ounceplastic shooter cups
Wooden skewer
Instructions
Prepare gelatin as directed on box.
Fill each plastic shooter halfway with the gelatin.
Place the shooters in the fridge for 45-60 minutes, reserve the remaining gelatin.
Remove the shooters from the fridge and use the wooden skewer to push 3-4 of the mini crawlers into the gelatin.
Hang a gummy worm over the rim of each of the shooters and fill the cups with the remaining gelatin, leaving about an inch of space on the top.
Place back into the fridge for 3-4 more hours or until fully set.
Notes
Chill Strategically: Ensure that your gelatin mixture is adequately chilled before inserting the gummy worms and mini crawlers. This will help prevent them from sinking to the bottom of the shooter cups.
Mind the Temperature: When pushing the mini crawlers into the gelatin, be mindful of the gelatin's temperature. If it's too warm, the candies might melt or lose their shape. Aim for a slightly firmer gelatin consistency to hold the crawlers in place.
Steady Hand for Presentation: When hanging the gummy worms over the rim of each shooter cup, use a steady hand to avoid accidentally submerging them into the gelatin. This will ensure a visually appealing presentation once the shooters are set and ready to serve.
