Donut Ice Cream Sandwiches

Donut Ice Cream Sandwiches – Glazed donuts sliced in half, stuffed with ice cream, rolled in sprinkles and drizzled with chocolate. Such an easy and delicious treat!

Ingredients

  • 6 glazed donuts
  • 2 cups vanilla ice cream
  • Sprinkles

For the Topping:

Instructions

  • Cut each donut in half horizontally.
  • Place a large scoop of ice cream on each donut bottom.
  • Using a spatula, spread the ice cream to the edges.
  • Create a sandwich by pressing on the donut tops.
  • Roll the sides in sprinkles.
  • Place sandwiches on a small baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  • Place them in the freezer for 2 hours.

For the Topping:

  • In two small bowls, melt chocolate chips and white chocolate chips separately.
  • Using a spoon, drizzle melted chocolate over top of donuts.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy.

Notes

  • You can substitute your sprinkles with cookie crumbs, crushed M&M's, chopped nuts, or chocolate chips. 
  • Line your baking sheet with parchment paper so your donuts don't stick.
  • This recipe is best enjoyed when frozen for at least 2 hours.
