Ingredients

  • 16 ounce can refried beans
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 4 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • ¼ cup salsa
  • 1 cup shredded Mexican cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat refried beans, sour cream, and cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add taco seasoning and salsa and beat again.
  • Transfer mixture to a 8x8-inch baking dish.
  • Sprinkle shredded cheese evenly over top.
  • Bake for 25 minutes.
  • Garnish with fresh parsley.

Notes

  • For a bit of a different flavor, try using different mixtures of cheese.
  • For a smooth dip, use a food processor or a blender. If you prefer a chunky dip, use a fork to mash your beans.
  • If you're planning on using canned beans, be sure to pick out good quality beans since this will determine the main flavor of the dip.
