Ingredients

  • 4 croissants torn into pieces
  • 1 cup fresh berries
  • 8 ounces cream cheese
  • cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • ¾ cup milk

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350ºF.
  • Place torn croissants in a greased 9x9-inch baking dish.
  • In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese for 30 seconds with an electric mixer.
  • Add sugar, eggs, vanilla, and milk.  Beat again until smooth.
  • Sprinkle berries on top of croissant pieces.
  • Pour mixture over croissants and berries.
  • Allow to rest for 20 minutes or even refrigerate overnight.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes or until golden brown.
  • Sprinkle powdered sugar over top and serve.

Notes

  • Make sure to use pre-made croissants from the bakery section in your local grocery store.
  • Having your cream cheese at room temperature will make the mixing process easier and ensure that the custard is the correct consistency.
  • Tear the croissants into uniform, bite-sized pieces.
  • This dish is amazing to pair with bacon, ham, sausage, or any other breakfast protein!
  • Add a pinch of cinnamon to your custard for extra flavor.
  • Instead of croissants you can also try using chopped cinnamon swirl bagels!
