Ninja Foodi Popcorn

Buttery, movie theatre-style popcorn made quick and easy right at home in the Ninja Foodi.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons coconut oil
  • ½ cup popcorn kernels
  • ½ cup Grassfed ghee butter melted
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  • Place coconut oil in your Ninja Foodi. Turn the Foodi on Sear/Saute and heat to high.  Allow coconut oil to melt.
  • Add popcorn kernels, stirring and shaking to avoid burning.
  • Once the kernels begin to pop, immediately cover your Ninja Foodi but leave the cover a little ajar.
  • Continue shaking until the popping slows down.  Remove pot from heat and allow to sit for a few minutes until kernels are completely popped.
  • Slowly pour butter over popped popcorn.
  • Add salt to taste and enjoy!

Notes

  • The time can vary, but it typically takes around 5-7 minutes to pop the popcorn in the Ninja Foodi.
  • Use wooden utensils to avoid scratching your pot.
  • Use a glass lid to ensure the popcorn doesn’t pop out of the cooking pot.
  • Keep a close eye on the popcorn and do not leave it unattended for long. Watching it ensures that the popcorn won't burn.
  • When popping slows, you can remove popped kernels and return the unpopped kernels to continue popping. 
  • Try not to crowd the kernels by putting in too many at once. 
  • Use a pair of oven mitts to shake the pot occasionally until the popping begins to slow down.
