Cocktail Mushrooms Recipe
Button mushrooms marinated in a zesty brine and packed with delicious flavors, made perfect for your favorite cocktail or served as a tangy appetizer.

- 16 ounces medium fresh mushrooms
- 1 cup white vinegar
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 ½ tablespoons garlic salt
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon Tabasco sauce
Bring a large pot of water to boil.
Add mushrooms to boiling water for 1 minute.
Drain off boiling water and rinse with cold water.
Place blanched mushrooms in a large sealable jar.
In a medium saucepan, combine vinegar, sugar, garlic salt, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco sauce. Bring to a boil, stirring often.
Reduce heat and simmer until sugar is dissolved.
Pour mixture over mushrooms. Allow to cool.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
- You can either use 2 two pint mason jars or a quart jar for the mushrooms.
- 24-hour marinating time not calculated within total recipe time. The longer the mushrooms marinate, the better - make sure it's at least 24 hours.
- Small or medium mushrooms are preferred because they soak up the flavors easiest!
