Ingredients

medium fresh mushrooms

cup
white vinegar

cup
sugar

garlic salt

Worcestershire sauce

Tabasco sauce
Instructions
Bring a large pot of water to boil.
Add mushrooms to boiling water for 1 minute.
Drain off boiling water and rinse with cold water.
Place blanched mushrooms in a large sealable jar.
In a medium saucepan, combine vinegar, sugar, garlic salt, Worcestershire sauce, and Tabasco sauce. Bring to a boil, stirring often.
Reduce heat and simmer until sugar is dissolved.
Pour mixture over mushrooms. Allow to cool.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving.
Notes
You can either use 2 two pint mason jars or a quart jar for the mushrooms.
24-hour marinating time not calculated within total recipe time. The longer the mushrooms marinate, the better - make sure it's at least 24 hours.
Small or medium mushrooms are preferred because they soak up the flavors easiest!
