Notes
Choosing the Right Chocolate: Use high-quality chocolate for your Oven-Baked S'mores to ensure rich and creamy results. Hershey Chocolate Bars are a classic choice, but you can also use chocolate chips or any chocolate of your preference. Dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or even flavored chocolates like caramel or mint can add an extra layer of flavor to your s'mores.
Marshmallow Placement: Arrange the marshmallows evenly over the chocolate in the cast-iron skillet to ensure even melting and browning. Make sure the marshmallows cover the entire surface of the chocolate layer, creating a deliciously gooey topping. You can adjust the amount of marshmallows based on your preference for a thicker or thinner layer of topping.
Monitoring Cooking Time: Keep a close eye on the Oven Bake S'mores while they're in the oven to prevent the marshmallows from burning. Bake them for 8–10 minutes at 450 degrees Fahrenheit or until the tops of the marshmallows turn golden brown. Depending on your oven and the desired level of toasting, you may need to adjust the cooking time slightly. Once done, remove the skillet from the oven and allow the s'mores to cool for a few minutes before serving with graham crackers for dipping.
