Notes
Fresh Ingredients: Ensure the spinach, strawberries, and almonds are fresh and well-prepared for optimal flavor and texture in the salad. Rinse the baby spinach thoroughly and tear it into bite-sized pieces. Slice the strawberries evenly, and roast the almonds until they are lightly golden and fragrant. Using fresh ingredients enhances the overall quality of the salad.
Balanced Dressing: Whisk together the ingredients for the dressing until well combined to achieve a balanced flavor profile. The combination of vegetable oil, white wine vinegar, sugar, paprika, sesame seeds, and poppy seeds creates a deliciously sweet and tangy dressing that complements the freshness of the spinach and strawberries. Adjust the amount of sugar and vinegar to achieve the desired level of sweetness and acidity.
Immediate Serving: Toss the salad with the dressing immediately before serving to prevent the spinach from wilting and the almonds from becoming soggy. The dressing adds moisture to the salad, so it's best to dress it just before serving to maintain its crispness and freshness. Serve the salad as a refreshing side dish, or add grilled chicken or shrimp for a complete and satisfying meal.
