Pulled Pork Nachos

These nachos can serve as either an appetizer or a meal and come together simply and quickly so you can enjoy the party too!

Ingredients

  • Farm Rich Smokehouse Pulled Pork BBQ
  • ¾ cup cheddar and Monterey jack cheese I purchased a bagged blend
  • ½ cup red onions chopped
  • ½ cup roma tomatoes diced
  • Tortilla chips
  • Green onions for garnish optional

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Prepare pork as directed on package (I heated mine in the microwave) and shred with a fork.
  • Line the bottom and sides of a oven-proof skillet with tortilla chips.
  • Cover the bottom layer of chips with the warmed, shredded pork.
  • Top with cheese and then onions.
  • Place the skillet into the oven for 5 minutes. Remove when cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Add the tomatoes and top with green onions for garnish.
  • Serve with extra tortilla chips.

  1. Layering Technique: Assemble the nachos in layers to ensure that each chip is fully loaded with toppings. Start with a base layer of tortilla chips, followed by a generous portion of warmed, shredded pork. Sprinkle a layer of cheese evenly over the pork to help hold everything together. Repeat this process until you've used up all the ingredients, finishing with a final layer of cheese on top.
  2. Even Distribution: Distribute the toppings evenly across the nachos to ensure that every bite is flavorful. Scatter chopped red onions and diced Roma tomatoes over the cheese layer, spreading them out to cover the entire surface of the nachos. This ensures that each bite contains a balance of flavors and textures.
  3. Garnish and Presentation: After baking the nachos until the cheese is melted and bubbly, add a finishing touch with fresh green onions for a pop of color and flavor. Garnishes like sliced jalapenos, chopped cilantro, or dollops of sour cream can also enhance the appearance and taste of the nachos.
