Hot dogs wrapped in flaky crescent dough and topped with candy googly eyes for a spooky mummy makeover. This adorable Halloween snack comes together quickly and easily in the air fryer, making it perfect for parties or a fun treat at home!
Roll your crescent roll dough out onto a nonstick surface. Gently pinch together any seams.
Using a pizza cutter, cut dough into ½-inch strips. Carefully wrap strips around your hot dogs to create a mummy look. Be sure to leave a small opening for the eyes on one end.
Place wrapped hot dogs in your greased air fryer basket.
Spray each mummy dog with nonstick cooking spray.
Air fry at 330ºF for 6-8 minutes or until crescent dough is golden brown.
Place a small dot of ketchup or mustard on the back of your candy eyes, add two to each mummy dog and serve.
Notes
Pat dry your hot dogs with a paper towel before wrapping them with the dough to help the dough stick a little bit better.
Make sure your mummy dogs aren’t touching as they cook in the air fryer.
Try not to overlap your crescent dough wrap too much or cut the strips too wide. This helps prevent the dough from not cooking evenly.
Oven Preparation: To make mummy dogs in the oven, preheat to 375°F and bake them on a parchment-lined baking sheet for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent dough is golden brown and flaky.
