Delicious and easy Christmas bread made with vanilla cake mix and pudding mix, loaded with festive holiday sprinkles, and topped in a sweet, sugary glaze.
In a large mixing bowl, add white cake mix, vanilla pudding mix, water, vegetable oil, and eggs. Beat until smooth.
Add ¼ cup sprinkles to batter and stir just until blended.
Transfer batter to a greased bread pan.
Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Allow bread to cool 10 minutes. Run a knife or spatula around the loaf, loosening it. Remove bread from pan and place it on a plate to cool completely. This will take about 1 hour.
For the Glaze
To prepare glaze, put powdered sugar and vanilla in a medium mixing bowl. Add 3 tablespoons of heavy whipping cream. Add more heavy whipping cream as needed to reach desired consistency.
Drizzle glaze over top of bread along with remaining sprinkles. Slice and serve.
Notes
Check for Doneness: Use the toothpick test—insert a toothpick into the center of the bread, and if it comes out clean, your bread is ready.
Grease Well: Be sure to grease your bread pan thoroughly, especially in the corners, to prevent sticking and ensure easy removal.
Perfect Glaze Consistency: Adjust the glaze to your preference—add more heavy cream for a thinner, light drizzle or use less for a thicker, frosting-like texture.
Don’t Overmix: Mix the batter just until the ingredients are combined. Overmixing can make the bread dense and cause the sprinkle colors to bleed.
Cool Completely Before Glazing: Let the bread cool completely before adding the glaze to prevent it from melting and sliding off.
Slice Cleanly: For even slices, use a sharp serrated knife to gently cut through the glazed bread without smudging the toppings.
