Start by mixing all of the dry ingredients together: the baking soda, Epsom salts and sea salt.
Then add the food coloring and fragrance oil.
Whisk everything together.
Now get some glass jars. I used some 7 oz. tureen jars I had purchased years ago for my candle making.
Notes
Customize Scent and Color: Experiment with different fragrance oils and food coloring to personalize the bath salts according to your mom's preferences. Choose fragrances that evoke relaxation and luxury, such as lavender or eucalyptus, and select colors that complement the scent or match your mom's favorite hues. This customization adds a thoughtful touch to the gift and enhances the overall spa-like experience.
Mixing and Layering Technique: When combining the dry ingredients, ensure thorough mixing to distribute the fragrance and color evenly throughout the bath salts. Use a whisk to blend the ingredients together effectively, breaking up any clumps and ensuring a uniform texture. For added visual appeal, consider layering the different colored salts in the glass jars, creating an attractive and eye-catching presentation.
Presentation and Packaging: Choose attractive glass jars or containers to store the bath salts, enhancing the gift's aesthetic appeal. Clean, clear jars showcase the colorful salts beautifully and allow the recipient to see the layers if you've chosen to layer them. Consider adding decorative labels or tags with a heartfelt message for Mother's Day, adding a personal touch to the gift. Complete the presentation with a ribbon or bow for a finishing flourish, making the gift feel extra special for your mom.
