Notes
Creaming Method for Better Texture: When creaming together the sugar, egg, and peanut butter, ensure thorough mixing to achieve a smooth and uniform consistency. Creaming incorporates air into the mixture, resulting in a lighter texture in the finished bread. Use an electric mixer or a sturdy whisk to ensure the ingredients are well combined.
Alternating Wet and Dry Ingredients: Adding the milk and flour alternately helps ensure even distribution of ingredients and prevents overmixing, which can result in a dense and tough bread. Begin and end with the dry ingredients (flour), adding them in batches and mixing until just combined. This method helps create a tender and moist crumb in the finished loaf.
Check for doneness: To determine if the peanut butter bread is fully baked, perform a toothpick test. Insert a toothpick into the center of the loaf—if it comes out clean or with a few moist crumbs, the bread is done. If the toothpick comes out with wet batter, continue baking for a few more minutes and check again. Be mindful not to overbake, as this can result in dryness.
