  • Add corn chips and shredded cheese to meat mixture until well-combined.
  • Scoop meat mixture onto wide end of each triangles.
  • Pull the pointed ends of the dough up over filling and tuck under wide ends at center of ring.

Notes

  1. Even Distribution of Filling: Ensure an even distribution of the meat mixture, corn chips, and shredded cheese onto each triangle of dough to prevent some parts of the taco ring from being overly packed while others are lacking in filling. This ensures every bite is flavorful and satisfying.
  2. Proper Dough Arrangement: Pay attention to the arrangement of the crescent roll triangles on the baking sheet to create a visually appealing and evenly cooked taco ring. Arrange the triangles so that their wide ends overlap in the center with a consistent diameter opening, allowing for uniform baking and presentation.
  3. Topping Placement: When layering the toppings in the center of the taco ring, start with the heavier toppings like guacamole and sour cream as a base, followed by lighter toppings like lettuce and tomatoes. This helps to create a stable base for slicing and serving, preventing the toppings from sliding off easily. Additionally, consider adding the salsa just before serving to maintain its freshness and prevent it from making the dough soggy during baking.
