Thank you to Pillsbury for sponsoring this recipe creation. #ItsBakingSeason

The holidays are upon us and we’re deep into football season. What does that mean? Digging out my favorite recipes that are suited to feed a crowd, of course! But it doesn’t stop there. When I’m entertaining, I want to make sure I have enough food to go around, but I also want to make sure that during the party, my guests can easily serve themselves. Why? Well, because I like to visit with my guests and enjoy their company, too. Don’t you?

Today we’re making an Ultimate Crescent Roll Taco Ring. This isn’t your “ordinary” taco ring. It’s filled with corn chips, cheese and onions –  with guacamole, sour cream, cheese, lettuce and tomatoes for topping! A complete people-pleaser for sure!

Our family loves “taco” anything. We make taco spaghetti and taco pasta & chip salad all of the time. This taco ring, well, this. . .just hits the whole “taco” idea out of the park!

Right now Walmart is offering a Twin Pack of Pillsbury Original Crescent Rolls. It’s perfect for all of your holiday baking and entertaining needs. Just load up on several of these. They fly off the refrigerator shelves at my house. There are so many great recipes out there you can use Pillsbury Crescent Rolls for – and many, like this one, can serve a hungry bunch of guests!

For any of you who have ever been intimidated by attempting a taco ring, please listen closely – {whispering} “You can do this.” If you’re worried about making a perfect circle, place a bowl at the center of your baking sheet and work around it, overlapping the sections of dough, piece by piece.

The corn chips, in this particular recipe, bring some additional texture and deliciousness to the ring. It’s really the toppings in the center, though, that provide that finishing touch!

Layer, layer, layer. Be creative! Add peppers, add black olives, add refried beans if you wish! I usually serve salsa on the side (sometimes in a hollowed out red pepper!). I find that putting it with the rest of the toppings can make the whole dish a bit watery. Who wants a soggy taco ring? Not I.

I’d say things are looking pretty party-ready, don’t you think?

Feel free to set out some additional bowls of toppings so your guests can pile on more of the goodies! The taco ring, itself, is so easy to cut and serve. The openings in the ring, guide you on where to section off each piece. Just make the cuts and let your guests do the rest!

I promise you, your guests are going to love this, and you, well, YOU are going to enjoy it right along with them. No need to be stuck in the kitchen during the holidays. Enjoy the special moments and share this deliciousness with the ones you love.

Can the taco ring be made in advance and reheated?

I don’t think it would be as good reheated – especially the rolls.

I usually cut in 1-inch slices. It serves a crowd – for sure 10-12 people as an appetizer.

I’ve made crescent ring dishes before, but it’s been a long time … once finished baking, can the ring be transferred to another platter? I like the idea of piling up layered fillings in the middle, but I’m also thinking that my baking sheets are, um, let’s say “well-loved” and therefore NOT aesthetically pleasing. What are your thoughts? Also, if I *can* transfer it, approx what size platter would you guess I should choose for the actual serving dish? Thanks and blessings!

I’m pretty sure you could potentially “slide” it off the baking sheet onto a nicer platter. Before you transfer it, size up the platters you have to the finished product and use the one that allows enough space for the taco ring as well as cutting it.
