Lemon slices for garnish
Instructions
Heat 2 cups sugar with 3 cups of water in a saucepan on the stove until dissolved and set in the fridge to cool.
Pour the lemon juice into a large punch bowl. Pour in ¾ of the syrup, then top off the bowl with ice. Pour the remaining 4 cups of water in and taste. If you'd like it a bit sweeter, add more syrup, if it needs to be diluted, add more water.
Add some lemon slices and about a fist-size dollop of cotton candy to each drink just before serving.
Serve immediately!
Notes
Customize Sweetness: Taste your lemonade mixture before serving and adjust the sweetness to your liking. The sweetness of lemons can vary, so you may need to add more of the prepared sugar syrup if you prefer a sweeter drink. Conversely, if the lemonade is too sweet, you can dilute it with additional water. This flexibility ensures that you can tailor the sweetness level to suit your taste preferences.
Prepare Sugar Syrup in Advance: To save time when making the lemonade, prepare the sugar syrup ahead of time and chill it in the refrigerator until needed. This allows the syrup to cool completely, ensuring that it won't dilute the lemonade when added. Plus, having the syrup ready means you can quickly mix up a batch of lemonade whenever you desire without waiting for the sugar to dissolve.
Serve with Flair: Presentation is key when serving Cotton Candy Lemonade. Just before serving, add a generous dollop of cotton candy to each glass for a whimsical and eye-catching garnish. The cotton candy will dissolve into the lemonade, infusing it with a subtle sweetness and adding a fun element to the drink. Pair the lemonade with a slice of lemon on the rim of the glass for an extra touch of elegance.
