Seven Layer Salad
A colorful, classic salad with seven layers of lettuce, veggies, cheese, eggs and bacon combined with a sweet dressing. Perfect for large gatherings and potlucks!

Ingredients
½
head lettuce
torn in pieces

large tomatoes
diced

boiled eggs
sliced

frozen peas
thawed

cup
mayonnaise

cup
sour cream

tablespoons
sugar

cups
shredded cheddar cheese
12
ounces
bacon
cooked and chopped

green onions
chopped
Instructions
In a trifle bowl, layer the following ingredients: lettuce, tomatoes, eggs, and peas.
In a small bowl, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, and sugar.
Pour dressing over peas.
Finish by layering cheese, bacon, and green onions.
Chill and serve.
Notes
This
is a great recipe to make ahead of time. I like to make mine the day before I serve it.
Don’t stir before serving! It will keep it from getting soggy too quickly.
Try serving in a trifle bowl or a high-sided glass bowl so your guests can see the different
layers of salad
.
