Every year I try to come up with a sweet treat for my son's classmates for Christmas. About a month ago I made up my mind that we would put together a treat bag filled with a cocoa packet, marshmallows and a little toy. That was a month ago.

Last week when I was out shopping I ran across some cute snowman favor bags at Walmart, so I grabbed them. Then, while out on Pinterest I ran into a pin for these cute Snowman Soup printable tags from Kate Hadfield Designs. She offers printable tags and recipe cards with text, and then the same designs without the text. I adored the design and thought they would be a great addition to the treat bags.

I downloaded the snowman bag topper design without the text and altered the poem on Kate's design a bit to read:

When it's so cold that you holler and whoop
It's time to whip up some Snowman Soup!
Pour the packet in a mug, add the marshmallows too,
And throw in the kisses that are especially for you!
Add some warm milk, use the candy cane to stir,
It's sure to take away the cold winter brrrr.

Here are how my tags turned out:

In addition to the toppers, I ran back to the store and picked up some chocolate Hershey Kisses and some candy canes so I had all of the ingredients mentioned in the poem.
Many of you may be asking why I opted for the smaller candy canes vs. the regular size which could actually stir the cocoa as intended? I've never known a 5-year-old to actually finish a regular size peppermint candy cane so with this in mind, I opted for the miniature size.
Here's a better look at the front of the bag:
And here's a look at the back of the bag:
So cute! I think the kids are really going to like them! I know I would LOVE to receive one. Maybe I should just keep one? Or two?
