You didn’t think that I was just going to let #popsicleweek pass by this summer without saying a word, did you? Not a chance. We eat a lot of popsicles at our house – heck, we’ve even had popsicle parties!
Today I’m sharing the recipe for these homemade Very Berry Popsicles. They look pretty cool, don’t you think? I love how the blackberry creeps into the strawberry layer. It’s a berrylicious sight to behold.
And as long as we’re swooning over these popsicles, let me tell you what. . .they’re berry, berry delicious, too. 😉 Perfect for a 4th of July celebration for sure!
They’re really very simple to make. All you need are some fresh berries, lemon juice and sugar. If you don’t have a popsicle mold, small paper cups will work too! To get the “seeping” effect, you pour the strawberry layer, filling the mold about halfway. Then you top it off with the blackberry layer.
I used a knife to push some of the blackberry layer down into the strawberry layer to create a more dramatic effect between the layers.
They turned out so sweet and tasty. If you’re a fan of homemade popsicles, I hope you try this one out! The recipe makes six popsicles. I’ll leave it up to you whether or not you decide to share. 🙂
I hope you make this fresh, frosty treat! I can’t wait to hear how you enjoyed them!
