Lastly, bake at 375°F for 30 minutes or until lightly browned. Just look at how wonderfully these turned out!
THANKSGIVING STUFFING BALL TIPS
- Don’t have croutons? No worries, you can make your own! Cut bread slices into small cubes and toast for a great taste! Let the bread cool to become crispy before using, and make sure that the bread isn’t overly soft or delicate to avoid too soggy of a stuffing.
- Try not to overpack these stuffing balls. It may result in too tough of a center.
- Using higher quality chicken broth will result in a better tasting stuffing. Homemade broth also allows you to add specific flavors that you may not get in store-bought broth!
- Prepare and store this recipe ahead of time in order to avoid the hassle of preparing it on Thanksgiving day!
HOW DO I KEEP MY STUFFING BALLS FROM FALLING APART?
CAN YOU MAKE STUFFING BALLS AHEAD OF TIME?
Yes, and that's one of qualities I like most about these little balls of dressing. After you form the stuffing mixture into balls, arrange them on a baking sheet, cover with plastic wrap and place them in the fridge.
Pull them out of the fridge 10-15 minutes before you're ready to bake them!
HOW TO STORE THANKSGIVING STUFFING BALLS
Thanksgiving stuffing balls can be stored in an airtight container for up to three days. When ready to eat, just heat them in the microwave and enjoy!
CAN I FREEZE STUFFING BALLS?
Yes, stuffing balls can be frozen for up to three months. Use a baking sheet to arrange the balls 1-2 inches apart, cover them with aluminum foil or plastic wrap and flash freeze them for a few hours or overnight.
After they are frozen, the stuffing balls can be moved into a freezer-safe ziploc bag and stored until ready to eat. Simply thaw in the refrigerator overnight before preparing.
When ready to bake, in a preheated 350°F oven, place the stuffing balls in an oven-safe dish covered with foil. Bake until heated throughout, and then remove the foil and cook for 15-20 more minutes.
