    Recipe FAQs

How do I ensure the crust stays together?

Make sure to mix the graham cracker crumbs and pecans with melted butter thoroughly, and press the mixture firmly into the pan to create a solid foundation. Chilling it before adding the layers also helps.

Can I make this blueberry dessert ahead of time?

Yes! You can make this recipe up to one day in advance and store it in the refrigerator until you are ready to serve! Just leave out the whipped topping until right before serving.

How do I prevent the layers from mixing?

Be sure to be extra careful when adding a layer onto your dessert and take your time. You can also chill the dessert in between layers if you have time.

Can I use fresh blueberries instead of pie filling?

Yes! You can make a fresh blueberry compote by cooking fresh blueberries with sugar and lemon juice until thickened.
