    Cake Batter Lush - A simple but delicious no-bake dessert with an Oreo cookie crust and layers of pudding, sweet cream, sprinkles and cake mix!

    Cake Batter Lush is one of our all-time favorite no-bake desserts! It's so easy to make and only requires a few simple ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry. Plus, it's always a hit with kids and adults, alike. 

    This dessert is rich and creamy, with just the right amount of sweetness. It's the perfect dessert for when you're short on time or don't feel like turning on the oven. 

    HOW TO MAKE CAKE BATTER LUSH

    For this fun and easy dessert, you'll need:

    • Golden Oreos
    • Butter
    • Cream cheese
    • Cool Whip
    • Confetti cake mix
    • Instant vanilla pudding
    • Milk
    • Sprinkles

    PREPARING THE OREO COOKIE CRUST

    1. Place Oreos in a blender or food processor.
    2. Blending the cookies until they become crumbs. 
    3. In a medium mixing bowl, mix melted butter and cookie crumbs together. 
    4. Press crumb/butter mixture into a 9x13-inch baking dish.

    MAKING THE CREAM CHEESE LAYER

    1. In a large mixing bowl, beat cream cheese and 8 ounces of Cool Whip until smooth.
    2. Add 1 ½ cups of confetti cake mix and beat again until smooth.
    3. Stir in ¼ cup sprinkles (optional).
    4. Spread the cream cheese mixture on top of crust.

    MIXING THE PUDDING LAYER

    1. In a large mixing bowl, beat pudding mix and milk together until it thickens. 
    2. Add the remaining ½ cup of confetti cake mix and beat until smooth.
    3. Stir in ¼ cup sprinkles (optional).
    4. Spread pudding layer over top of cream cheese layer.

    The last step is to spread the remaining Cool Whip over the top of the pudding layer and add ¼ cup sprinkles on top for garnish.

    You'll want to refrigerate the dessert for at least 2 hours prior to serving.

    CAN I MAKE CAKE BATTER LUSH AHEAD OF TIME?

    Yes, Cake Batter Lush can be made up to 24 hours in advance. Just store it in the refrigerator until you're ready to serve.

    WHAT OTHER TOPPINGS CAN I ADD TO THIS DESSERT?

    You can add chocolate sprinkles, chocolate chips, or anything else you can think of to make it your own. Be creative and have fun with it!

    CAN I USE A DIFFERENT FLAVOR OF PUDDING?

    You can definitely try some different kinds of pudding beyond vanilla. These might be some good options:

    • Cheesecake
    • Coconut Cream
    • Chocolate
    • White Chocolate

    HOW DO I STORE LEFTOVERS?

    Any leftovers have to be stored in the refrigerator since this is a pudding based cake. Cover the cake with plastic wrap and foil, or place it in an airtight container.

    Cake Batter Lush can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days. Be sure to cover it tightly so that it doesn't dry out.

    Ingredients

    • 40 golden Oreos (crushed into crumbs)
    • ½ cup butter (melted)
    • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
    • 16 ounces Cool Whip (divided)
    • 2 cups confetti cake mix (divided)
    • 2 3.2 ounce boxes instant vanilla pudding
    • 3 cups milk
    • ¾ cup sprinkles of your choice (divided (optional))

    Instructions

    • Refrigerate for 2 hours prior to serving.
    • Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

    Notes

    • This recipe can be made up to 24 hours in advance; just place in the fridge until ready to serve. 
    • Feel free to get creative with the toppings. You can use chocolate chips, sprinkles or crushed candy. 
    • To store, cover your cake with plastic wrap or foil. It can be stored in the fridge for up to five days.
