  • Refrigerated crescent rolls
  • Diced cooked chicken
  • Steamed broccoli florets
  • Shredded Colby Jack cheese
  • Cream of chicken soup
  • Milk
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional for garnish)

FILLING THE CRESCENT ROLLS

Once you've gathered all your ingredients, preheat the oven to 375ºF, then prepare a 9x9-inch baking dish by spraying it with cooking spray. Set it aside and then follow the steps below!

Steps for wrapping chicken in crescent rolls
  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine cooked diced chicken with ¼ cup shredded cheese.
  2. Lay crescent roll triangles on a non-stick prep surface. Spoon 2 tablespoons of chicken mixture onto each triangle.
  3. Roll them gently to hold the chicken inside.
  4. Place filled crescent rolls into your prepared baking dish and bake for 9-11 minutes or until crescent rolls are golden brown and baked thoroughly.

PREPARING THE CHEESE SAUCE

While the crescent rolls are baking, prepare the cheese sauce, following the instructions below!

Steps for baking a chicken broccoli casserole
  1. In a medium saucepan, whisk cream of chicken soup, milk, and remaining ¾ cup shredded cheese over medium heat until smooth.
  2. When crescent rolls are done, remove the pan from the oven.
  3. Evenly place the steamed broccoli over the top.
  4. Spoon the cheese sauce around the crescent rolls. DO NOT COVER THE CRESCENT ROLLS. Return the dish to the oven and bake for an additional 5 minutes. Remove and serve.

TIPS FOR MAKING CHICKEN CRESCENT ROLL CASSEROLE

  • This recipe is perfect if you have leftover cooked chicken or a rotisserie chicken on hand! It's a great way to use it up in a delicious way that the family will love.
  • You can also use cream of mushroom soup or cream of celery soup as opposed to cream of chicken soup.
  • If you're a big fan of veggies, feel free to add more! Steamed vegetables such as green beans, mushrooms, or peas all would be a great addition to this dish.
  • For other cheese options, swiss, american, cheddar, colby, gouda, mozzarella all work great in this casserole. You can even use a combination of different cheeses for even more flavor!
