TIPS FOR MAKING CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP IN THE CROCKPOT

    • For a shortcut, use chopped rotisserie chicken for this soup! It’s pre-seasoned, making it a little less hassle, plus it tastes great!
    • Feel free to substitute any veggies in this recipe that you would like. Just make sure to keep the chopped vegetables all around the same size, and use frozen vegetables rather than canned vegetables for the best taste and texture.
    • Experiment with different seasonings depending on how you want your soup to taste. For example, use red pepper flakes for a spicier soup!
    • If you prefer to use other types of noodles, such as spaghetti, make sure that you cook them according to their specific cooking times to ensure they are fully cooked through and be careful to not overcook!

HOW DO I MAKE THIS SOUP EVEN CREAMIER?

You can add a little evaporated milk, half-and-half or heavy cream to make the soup creamier without adding too much fat. You can also substitute low-fat milk or cream cheese.

If you'd like to thicken the soup, you could microwave a few potatoes, mash them and add them to the soup or even try adding a can of creamed corn.

HOW DO YOU STORE CREAMY CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP?

If you have leftovers, this recipe can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for around 3-4 days.

The consistency may change due to the noodles absorbing the soup, but the soup will still be delicious. When you are ready to eat the leftovers, heat the soup over low heat and enjoy!

CAN YOU FREEZE CREAMY CHICKEN NOODLE SOUP?

Yes, and if you know you'll want to freeze some of the soup, just make the soup without the noodle and add in the cooked noodles immediately before enjoying.
