If you caught the Cherry Dump Cake I posted earlier this week you may already know that our air conditioning went out.
Well, it was still out yesterday until late afternoon (found out all it was, was a loose wire!). So that meant no oven. . .which means grill, Ninja Foodi or air fryer.
These Air Fryer Pork Chops are perfect for either the Ninja Foodi or air fryer. If you're new to either appliance, this is a great first recipe to try!
Making Air Fryer Pork Chops
After you gather all of your ingredients, you'll want to start by creating the breading mixture first.
The breading mixture consists of Italian breadcrumbs, grated parmesan cheese, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Pretty straightforward, right?
Once you combine the ranch dressing and the milk to create your dredging "sauce," you're ready to go.
Begin by dredging the pork chops in the ranch dressing mixture.
The dressing helps the breadcrumb mixture stick to the pork chop. Isn't it a pain when all the breading falls off of meat?
You shouldn't have that problem with this recipe.
The ranch dressing is thick enough to keep those breadcrumbs from going anywhere.
Carefully place the pork chops into the air fryer and fry at 330º Fahrenheit for 20 minutes (flip halfway through) or until the internal temperature of the pork chops reach 145º Fahrenheit.
Remember to use a digital meat thermometer to easily check internal temps - and feel free to check the temperature even before you reach 20 minutes of cooking time if you like.
All appliances can cook a bit differently so sometimes it takes a bit of experimentation.
Over the years so many people have asked what the secret is to a juicy pork chop. Well, air frying is a great first step to getting it right, and no matter what kitchen appliance you're using, it pays to check the internal temperature of the meat periodically while it cooks.
The pork chops should be moist and tender on the inside and crispy on the outside.
The thickness of your pork chops can also affect cooking time. If you're using thicker chops, they may need to go longer than 20 minutes.
Thinner chops should be checked at around 10-15 minutes of cook time.
Serve these pork chops with a nice tossed salad on the side and enjoy!

Air Fryer Pork Chops
Ingredients
- 4 boneless pork chops (¾ inch thick)
- 1 cup Italian breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon pepper
- ½ cup ranch dressing
- 1 tablespoon milk
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine dry ingredients. Set aside.
- In another bowl, mix ranch dressing and milk.
- Dredge each pork chop in ranch mixture.
- Coat with dry ingredients.
- Air fry at 330º Fahrenheit for 20 minutes. Flip halfway through cooking time.
Notes
- Optimal Thickness: To ensure juicy and tender pork chops, aim for a thickness of about ¾ inch. Thicker chops may require longer cooking times and can result in a dry exterior before the interior is fully cooked, while thinner chops may cook too quickly and become tough.
- Even Coating is Key: When dredging the pork chops in the ranch mixture and coating them with the dry ingredients, ensure each chop is evenly coated to achieve a uniform flavor and texture. Press the breadcrumbs mixture firmly onto the pork chops to ensure it adheres well during cooking.
- Flip for Even Cooking: Flipping the pork chops halfway through the cooking time promotes even browning and ensures both sides are cooked to perfection. Use tongs to gently flip the chops, being careful not to disturb the coating, and continue cooking until they reach an internal temperature of 145°F for optimal safety and juiciness.
