- Grill on each side for 8 minutes or until internal temperature reaches 140ºF.
TIPS FOR MAKING THE BEST PORK CHOP MARINADE
- You can keep some of the marinade to the side to brush on the pork chops in the last minutes of cooking for extra flavor. For a little tang, try adding some lemon juice.
- For other seasoning options, cajun or mesquite seasonings are popular. For a spicier pork chop, add crushed red pepper flakes.
- You can swap the soy sauce in this recipe for tamari. Tamari is often known for having fewer additives and preservatives than mass-market soy sauce and a higher protein count.
HOW LONG SHOULD YOU MARINATE PORK CHOPS?
Marinade can be made three days in advance when stored in the fridge. This allows for great flexibility during those busy weeks!
The longer the pork chops marinate for, the more flavor they will have. Anywhere from 2-8 hours will leave you with a flavorful pork chop.
You can marinate overnight or longer than 8 hours if you're wanting to prep ahead.
WHAT CAN I DO WITH LEFTOVER MARINADE?
Although it’s not safe to store the leftover marinade to use again due to the raw meat, you can boil any leftover marinade for a few minutes in order to make a sauce for cooked pork chops.
CAN YOU FREEZE PORK CHOP MARINADE?
To freeze the marinade for later, put it in a zip top plastic bag in the freezer for up to three months. Thaw overnight in the fridge before using.
