    Recipe FAQs

What is the easiest way to soften cream cheese?

It is important that your cream cheese is at room temperature before mixing it in with your other ingredients so that you avoid lumps in your jello salad.

To soften your cream cheese, you can either warm it up in the microwave out of its packaging for around 15-20 seconds, or you can keep it in its packaging and cover it in warm water in a large bowl for around 8-10 minutes.

Can I use fresh peaches instead of canned?

Yes, fresh peaches can be used in this recipe. Just make sure to pick out peaches that are ripe and juicy for the best peachy flavor! Also, be sure to peel and pit the fresh peaches and slice them into uniform sized pieces.

Be aware that they may not be as sweet as canned peaches, so feel free to taste test them and add more sugar if you feel it necessary!

What other fruits could I add to the fluff salad?

You can add strawberries, pineapple, mandarin oranges, blueberries, raspberries, bananas, grapes, kiwi, mixed berries, or canned fruit cocktail to the salad for extra flavor and variety.

Can I make peach jello salad ahead of time?

Jello salads are great to prepare ahead of time for when you’re trying to plan in advance. It is best to make this dish only 1-2 days prior to serving it to ensure that it stays fresh and keeps its fluffy texture! Top with chopped pecans and other garnishes right before serving.

    Storage Instructions

To store peach jello salad, place it in an airtight container and keep it in the refrigerator for 3-5 days.

    Freezing Instructions

Because this is a jello salad recipe, it is not recommended to freeze leftovers after serving due to the texture of the salad changing and becoming watery after thawing.
