Since sharing many air fryer recipes on the blog and starting an Air Fryer Facebook group, I've had a lot of people message me about air fryers and which model to buy. Most air fryers on the market today do a great job. It normally comes down to budget and personal preference.
Today, I'm sharing the Top 10 Best Digital Air Fryers. I find the digital models more intuitive and easy to use, with temperature presets and digital displays. You can purchase all of the models listed here through Amazon. Stores like Costco, Bed Bath & Beyond, Kohl's, Walmart, Target and Sam's Club have been known to carry certain models as well.
These are my personal picks based on popularity, price and user reviews. The smallest air fryer I'm sharing is a 5.3 quart, which is still fairly large for a cooking appliance. It's certainly large enough to feed a family of four. If you have a larger family, you may want to take a look at #5.
Basket vs. Oven-Style Air Fryers
You'll notice all of the air fryers I've featured have baskets vs. trays. The "oven-style" air fryer never appealed to me because I didn't like the idea of having to clean racks and drip trays.
I also have heard that the trays are a bit difficult to arrange and some users experienced uneven cooking between the top and bottom shelves. However, MANY people love them so I encourage you to do your homework if you're interested in this type of air fryer.
Many people prefer air fryers with trays because they are stainless steel (basket won't peel or chip) and they allow for cooking more than one item at once. If you're looking for a good oven-style air fryer, check out the Cuisinart. The Emeril 360 has also gotten good reviews due to the rotisserie feature and convection qualities. A similar option to the Emeril 360 is the 11.6 quart air fryer from Best Choice Products.
If you're looking for a basket-style air fryer with a ceramic basket that won't chip or peel, you can check out the Ninja Air Fryer. The Ninja didn't make my list below because it is a smaller 4-Quart fryer and, ultimately, I'd recommend the Ninja Foodi over the Ninja Air Fryer.

Top 10 Best Digital Air Fryers
The air fryers aren't listed in any particular order - all have gotten decent reviews. I own #1 and #10, so if you have any specific questions about either of those brands, I'd be happy to answer them for you!
Alright, so with that, let's talk air fryers!
01 | Power XL Air Fryer
Pros: Great size and performance for the price. I personally own this air fryer and am VERY happy! I've owned this air fryer for a few years now and have never experienced chipping or peeling of the basket.
Cons: Basket is difficult to push in at times. You need to lift the handle up a bit while sliding it in. Once you get this motion down, it really isn't an issue at all.

03 | Gourmia Air Fryer

04 | COSORI Air Fryer

Extras: Recipe book
Price: $100-$150
Pros: Largest capacity. Can cook up to 4 lbs. of chicken wings at a time. Option to program up to 100 of your favorite recipes.
Cons: Heavy. Top is a bit tricky to close and takes two hands - you need to pull a pin out in the back of the device while manipulating the lid down. Basket is not as "non-stick" as others.
Capacity: 10 Quart
Weight: 20 Pounds
Extras: Recipe book, “quick-start” guide, rotisserie kit, reversible wire rack
Price: $100- $150
06 | GoWISE USA Air Fryer
Pros: Popular brand. Excellent price point. Built-in alarm function that reminds you to shake the basket.
Cons: Some have experienced problems with the inner coating chipping off of the basket. The fry basket also has a tendency to detach from the holder without pressing the release button. Users claim an easy fix is just tightening the screws.

08 | Magic Chef XL

I have a GoWise and love it. I use it for everything but baking and that's because I bake big cakes/pies. I never had an issue with peeling or the handle. As long as the transparent cover is towards you, the air fryer basket does not become loose or lift from the basket. I can't think of a negative thing to say about this air fryer, only good I just wish it was bigger so I can bake my cakes in it. I have a 3,8 size, but since its just the two of us, its fine. Goodby microwave!

I have a 5.8 qt Cosori and I am very pleased with it. So far everything I have cooked it in has turned out well, but the greatest thing for me is that it cooks a whole chicken without overcooking (my previous 3.8 qt by another brand always burnt the skin if I did not cover with foil).
