HOW TO MAKE A BUNNY BUTT FUNFETTI EASTER CHEESE BALL

To make this super cute dessert you'll need:

Ingredients for Easter cheese ball

Once you've gathered your ingredients, get ready to make this sweet treat!

Begin by adding the cream cheese, sprinkles, white chocolate chips, cake mix, and vanilla extract to a medium mixing bowl.

Baking ingredients in glass mixing bowl

Begin separating your cheese ball mixture. You will need to make one large ball, two medium ones, and one small one.

ASSEMBLING THE BUNNY BUTT

  1. Use the large ball for the main bunny butt, the two medium size balls for the feet and the small one for the tail.
  2. Carefully flatten the medium-sized balls out and shape them into feet.
  3. Press four M&Ms into each of the feet as pictured below.

WHAT'S THE EASIEST WAY TO SOFTEN CREAM CHEESE?

The easiest way to soften cream cheese is to set it out on the counter an hour or so before you plan to make the cheese ball. This will allow you to easily blend the ingredients together.

If you're running short on time, you can also use a microwave to soften cream cheese. Just warm the block of cheese in short intervals, watching it closely to ensure you're just softening it rather than melting it.😉

DO I NEED TO USE FUNFETTI CAKE MIX?

No, you don't have to use funfetti cake mix in this recipe. The funfetti mix makes the Easter cheese ball a bit more colorful and festive, but isn't a necessity.

You can use any white or yellow cake mix that you'd like here. I don't suggest using a chocolate cake mix as the details of the bunny butt will most likely be lost.

WHAT SHOULD I SERVE WITH THE  EASTER CHEESE BALL?

I love to use vanilla wafers for dipping with this cheese ball. You can also use graham crackers, pretzels, or apple slices!

HOW TO STORE LEFTOVERS

Carefully place your cheese ball leftovers in a large container with a lid. If you do not have a container large enough to hold the cheese ball without causing damage to the legs and tail, consider wrapping it with plastic wrap.

You can store the cheese ball in your refrigerator for up to two weeks. I suggest letting it soften a bit on the counter before serving again.
