    Love the taste of eggnog and want to have it for dessert, too? Then this Eggnog Pudding Dessert is perfect for you! It's a triple-layer dessert featuring sweetened whipped cream cheese, creamy eggnog pudding, and fluffy whipped topping with festive sprinkles on top of a vanilla cookie crust.

    Not only is this no-bake recipe delicious, but it is super easy to make and perfect for when you’re in a time crunch with a million other things to do (like around the holidays!).

    HOW TO MAKE EGGNOG PUDDING DESSERT

    Before you get started, make sure you have the following ingredients:

    • Golden Oreos 
    • Butter
    • Cream cheese
    • Powdered sugar 
    • Whipped topping 
    • Vanilla extract
    • Instant vanilla pudding mix 
    • Eggnog 
    • Whipped topping 
    • Christmas sprinkles (optional)

    Once you’ve gathered all your ingredients, follow the steps below for a quick and easy holiday dessert.

    PREPARING THE COOKIE CRUST

    1. Using a food processor or blender, beat Oreos until they are fine crumbs. 
    2. Add the melted butter to the Oreo crumbs.
    3. Stir until well-combined. 
    4. Press the mixture into a greased 9x13 baking dish. 

    MIXING UP THE CREAM CHEESE LAYER

    1. To prepare the cream cheese layer, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl. 
    2. Add vanilla and beat again. 
    3. Add 1 cup of whipped topping and fold in gently. 
    4. Spread this mixture over top of the prepared crust. 

    MAKING THE EGGNOG PUDDING LAYER

    1. To prepare the eggnog pudding layer, whisk pudding and eggnog together until thickened.
    2. Gently spread this layer over top of the cream cheese mixture. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours. 
    3. Prior to serving, spread the remaining whipped topping on top and add the sprinkles.

    EGGNOG PUDDING DESSERT TIPS

    • Try experimenting with different cookies such as Nilla wafers or even chocolate Oreos for a different taste!
    • Adding cinnamon and nutmeg over the whipped topping is a great way to add even more flavor to this dessert.
    • After making the crust, pop it in the freezer while you are preparing the cream cheese and whipped eggnog pudding layers.

    IS THERE A CERTAIN BRAND OF EGGNOG I SHOULD USE?

    No, any brand of eggnog should work just fine for this recipe. However, trying a few different brands to find the one you like best might be a good idea!

    This recipe can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to five days.

    CAN YOU FREEZE EGGNOG PUDDING DESSERT?

    I wouldn't recommend freezing this dessert due to its pudding base. Can you freeze pudding? Yes, but once defrosted, the consistency will change, so refrigerating is the best option for storing.

    Ingredients

    For the Crust:

    • 1 - 15.25 ounce package Golden Oreos
    • 6 tablespoons butter (melted)

    For the Cream Cheese Layer:

    • 8 ounces cream cheese (softened)
    • 1 cup powdered sugar
    • 1 cup whipped topping
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla

    For the Eggnog Pudding Layer:

    • 1 - 5.1 oz box instant vanilla pudding mix
    • 1 ¾ cup eggnog

    For the Topping:

    • Whipped topping (remainder of 8 ounce tub)
    • Sprinkles (optional)

    Instructions

    • Using a food processor or blender, beat Oreos until they are fine crumbs.
    • In a medium mixing bowl, combine Oreo crumbs and melted butter.
    • Press this mixture into a greased 9x13 baking dish.
    • To prepare the cream cheese layer, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl.
    • Add vanilla and beat again.
    • Add 1 cup of whipped topping and fold in gently.
    • Spread this mixture over top of prepared crust.
    • To prepare eggnog pudding layer, whisk pudding and eggnog together until thickened.

    Notes

    • Switch things up by experimenting with different cookies, like Nilla wafers or chocolate Oreos. 
    • After you make the crust, place it in the freezer while you’re preparing the other layers.
    • For more flavor, add a dash of cinnamon or nutmeg over the whipped topping. 
    • You can use any eggnog that you like, try a few different brands until you find your favorite.
