TIPS FOR MAKING THIS ST. PATRICK'S DAY TRIFLE
- I usually make this recipe in a large trifle bowl but it can also be made in smaller trifle dishes if you'd like smaller, individual desserts. A glass container is the best so you can see all of the gorgeous layers!
- If you’re not ready to eat this trifle right after making it, it can be wrapped with plastic wrap and stored in the fridge for up to a day!
WHAT OTHER INGREDIENTS COULD I ADD TO THE TRIFLE?
Trifles are super easy and fun to customize! If you want to add some other ingredients, some great suggestions are brownies, graham crackers, or chocolate chips. Feel free to customize your trifle to your preferences!
WHAT OTHER FLAVORS OF CAKE MIX OR PUDDING CAN BE USED IN A TRIFLE DESSERT?
This recipe can be made with all sorts of different combinations of cake and pudding flavors. For cake, try vanilla or even a green velvet cake for that festive look.
For pudding, pistachio or vanilla pudding will also work great, especially with the green color of the pistachio pudding.
HOW DO YOU MAKE THIS BAILEY'S TRIFLE KID-FRIENDLY?
For a kid-friendly recipe, just omit the Bailey’s Irish Cream and try experimenting with fun containers and toppings! Gold coins are a great festive idea, as well as candy bars, skittles, chocolate syrup, and sprinkles.
HOW DO YOU STORE A LEFTOVER TRIFLE DESSERT?
This recipe can be stored in the refrigerator wrapped in plastic wrap for up to three days. After that, it may begin to lose its layers or shape, but would still taste fantastic!
I wouldn't try and freeze any of the leftovers, due to the textures of the whipped cream and pudding.
