    Recipe FAQs

Can I use leftover chicken for this recipe?

Yes! This is a great way to use up any leftover chicken or turkey you have in your fridge. Just shred it up and mix it in with the creamy base for a super simple meal.

Can I use something else besides cream of chicken soup?

If you prefer, you can substitute cream of mushroom soup or a homemade cream sauce for a different flavor profile. Adjust seasoning as needed to match the substitution.

How can I prevent the sandwich from becoming soggy?

Keep your chicken mixture separate from the buns until right before you serve them. This way, the bread won’t get soggy too quickly.

Can I make creamy chicken sandwiches ahead of time?

If you want to make this recipe ahead of time, you can prepare the creamy chicken mixture and store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Then, reheat it in the crockpot and enjoy!
