Easy Egg in a Hole - Such a fun way to enjoy eggs and toast! Make it extra special by using a heart-shaped cookie cutter!

  1. Use the cookie cutter to make a hole in the center of the slice of bread.
  2. Butter both sides of the bread and the center.
  3. In a non-stick skillet, over medium heat, add the bread and the center.
  4. Cook for 4-5 minutes.
  5. Flip piece of bread and center over.
  6. Crack the egg into the hole taking care not to break the yolk.
  7. Season egg with a pinch of salt and pepper.
  8. Reduce heat to medium-low and cook 5-6 more minutes or until the egg white and yolk are set.
  9. Sprinkle with parsley or chives if desired.

Notes

Don’t forget your heart- or round-shaped cookie cutter!
