Our family loves to grill out in the summer. There's just something about the flavor of food cooked outdoors that can't be beat. These Steak & Veggie Kabobs are one of my family's favorite meals.

Kabobs are super easy to make, and they're a great way to use up any leftover veggies you might have in the fridge. Plus, they're healthy and delicious!

HOW TO MAKE GRILLED STEAK & VEGGIE KABOBS

Before you begin, you’ll want to make sure you have everything you need. For these delicious kabobs, you’ll need the following:

    Kabob Ingredients

    • Sirloin steak
    • Red onions
    • Red and yellow bell pepper
    • Cherry tomatoes
    • Mushrooms

    Marinade Ingredients

    • Minced garlic
    • Olive oil
    • White vinegar
    • Salt
    • Dry mustard
    • Worcestershire sauce
    • Cayenne pepper

    PREPARING THE KABOBS

steps for making steak and veggie kabobs
    1. Combine the marinade ingredients in a medium bowl.
    2. Add cubed steak to marinade and allow to marinate 2 hours.
    3. Using wooden skewers, alternate meat, onions, peppers, tomatoes, and mushrooms.
    4. Brush kabobs with remaining marinade and grill on medium heat for 15 minutes or until meat is cooked thoroughly and veggies are tender.

It's dinner on a stick with minimal clean up! It doesn't get much better than that!

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO PREPARE THE STEAK?

The first step is to trim any excess fat from the steak. Then, you'll want to cut the steak into 1-inch cubes.

We like to use the marinade in the recipe below, but you can season the steak with your favorite herbs and spices.

DO I NEED TO WET THE SKEWERS BEFORE GRILLING?

You'll want to soak your wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes. This will help to prevent them from burning on the grill.

Do this while the meat is marinating so they are ready to go when you want to put your meat and veggies on them.

HOW DO I MAKE SURE THE KABOBS COOK EVENLY?

The key to evenly cooked kabobs is to preheat your grill before skewering the meat and vegetables.

We recommend cooking the kabobs over medium-high heat so that the steak stays juicy and the vegetables get nice and charred.

Once you've placed the kabobs on the grill, be sure to rotate them every few minutes so that they cook evenly on all sides.
