Valentine's Day is tomorrow! Our house has been focused on all things ❤️-themed. Our family has been making cookies, Valentines and other fun treats.
Today, the love fest continues, and it's all focused on our fur baby. We couldn't forget about her!
Our English cream golden retriever, Belle, has been a bit sad lately. Wisconsin has been getting so much snow the past couple weeks, that it's overwhelming for her to even try to run and play in the yard.
I knew just the thing to get her spirits up, and you can bet that these Peanut Butter Banana Homemade Dog Biscuits did the trick!
Making Homemade Dog Biscuits
This recipe is only five ingredients, and most people will have everything they need to make these biscuits already on-hand.

- Add a little flour to your countertop and flatten dough on top of flour.
- Use cookie cutters to cut out biscuits.
- Transfer to greased baking sheet.
- Bake for 25 minutes.
I used several different heart-shaped cookie cutters in varying sizes. With the larger and smaller cutters, I was able to get about 20 biscuits from the recipe. Store in a covered container in the fridge.
Now, let's make these together.
Start by throwing all ingredients into a mixing bowl and combine.
Once the dough is ready, use your hands or a rolling pin to flatten out the dough and start cutting out your shapes.
I used heart-shaped cookie cutters for Valentine's Day but you could use whatever cookie cutters you prefer. These dog-themed cookie cutters are really fun, too!
It's always a good idea to make several different sizes and shapes, especially if you have a smaller dog and a larger dog.
I like to use the smaller biscuits as training treats, and I break the larger ones up into pieces so they last longer.?
I'm pretty sure Belle knew that the treats I was making were especially for her. Her nose led her to the peanut butter right away.
The whole point of this post today is a simple message. Don't forget about your pups on Valentine's Day. . .or any day for that matter. They are part of the family and deserve a treat, too!
It will take you less than 30 minutes to make these homemade dog biscuits, so I say, GO FOR IT!
Spoil your dog this Valentine's Day and show her how much she means to you.❤️

Notes
- Quality Ingredients: Ensure the safety and health of your furry friend by using high-quality ingredients. Opt for natural peanut butter without added sugar or xylitol, which can be toxic to dogs. Additionally, choose whole wheat flour and organic bananas for added nutritional value.
- Consistency Check: Achieve the right dough consistency by gradually adding flour until the mixture is easy to handle and can be rolled out without sticking. If the dough is too sticky, incorporate more flour; if it's too dry, add a small amount of water or extra mashed banana to adjust.
- Personalize with Shapes: Make the homemade dog biscuits even more appealing to your pup by using fun cookie cutters to create shapes they'll love. Consider shapes like bones, hearts, or their favorite toys to add an extra element of excitement to treat time.

How thick?
Sara
I just hand pressed my dough. I would say it was a bit thicker than if I would have used a rolling pin.
