    These Air Fryer Broccoli Cheese Balls serve as the perfect dinner appetizer or afternoon snack.     HOW TO MAKE BROCCOLI CHEESE BALLS IN THE AIR FRYER

    Before you get started, make sure you have the following ingredients:

    • Frozen broccoli florets, thawed 
    • Colby Jack shredded cheese 
    • Velveeta cheese sauce 
    • Crushed red pepper flakes 
    • Butter, melted 
    • Eggs, divided 
    • Panko crumbs 
    • Flour

    SHAPING THE BROCCOLI BALLS

    Once you’ve gathered all your ingredients, follow the steps below for a quick and delicious appetizer!

    1. Chop broccoli florets into ¼-inch pieces. Drain any water off if needed, then place the pieces in a large bowl. 
    2. Add shredded cheese, cheese sauce, red pepper flakes, butter, 1 egg, and ½ cup panko crumbs to broccoli. Mix it all up well.
    3. Using a scoop, form 2 inch balls and place them on a plate.
    4. Refrigerate the broccoli and cheese balls for 30 minutes. 

    DREDGING THE AIR FRYER CHEESE BALLS

    Place the flour, remaining egg (lightly beaten), and remaining Panko crumbs in three separate bowls.

    1. Roll the ball in flour.
    2. Cover it in the beaten egg.
    3. Coat it in Panko crumbs. 
    4. Place prepared balls on a plate and chill in the fridge for 30 minutes.

    Any cheese balls that are leftover, can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days!

    To reheat in your air fryer, heat the air fryer to 350°F and cook the broccoli cheese balls for 1-2 minutes per side or until warmed.

    Yes, you can! To freeze the cheese balls, first flash freeze on a baking sheet in the freezer, and then when frozen, they can be kept in a freezer bag for up to 3 months.
