Candy Corn Cupcakes

Yellow and orange layered cupcakes reminiscent of classic candy corn! They’re perfect for fall and Halloween parties!

For the Cupcakes

  1. Preheat oven to 350° Fahrenheit.
  2. Line a 12-cup cupcake pan with paper liners. Set aside.
  3. In a large bowl, beat cake mix, eggs, water, oil, and vanilla for 1 minute.
  4. Split the batter between two bowls.
  5. Add yellow food coloring to one bowl and orange food coloring to the other. Mix both well.
  6. Evenly divide yellow batter between cupcake liners.
  7. Evenly top the yellow batter with orange batter.
  8. Bake for 20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Allow cupcakes to cool completely.

For the Frosting

  1. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth.
  2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla and beat until combined.
  3. Add marshmallow crème and beat until creamy.
  4. Add whipped topping and beat until combined.
  5. To frost cupcakes, put frosting in a large Ziploc bag.
  6. Cut a small piece of the bag off of one of the bottom corners.
  7. Pipe the frosting on top of the cupcakes.
  8. Garnish cupcakes with sprinkles and a piece of candy corn.
