Easiest Way to Make Corn on the Cob – Fresh, juicy, and buttery corn on the cob made easy in the oven for the perfect summer side dish.

If you’re looking for a quick and easy way to make corn on the cob, then look no further. There is no need for the hassle of boiling or grilling with this super simple oven-baked corn on the cob that everyone will love! 

Corn is a summer staple and serves as the perfect side dish for family dinners and potlucks. It’s fresh, buttery, and sweet, and with this cooking method it’s so easy!

THE EASIEST WAY TO MAKE CORN ON THE COB

Before you get started, make sure you have the following ingredients:

  • 6 cobs of corn in husks

PREPARING THE CORN 

Once you’ve gathered all your ingredients, preheat the oven to 350ºF and then follow the steps below for the easiest way to make corn on the cob!

  1. Place cobs of corn on a baking sheet. 
  2. Bake for 25-30 minutes. 
  3. Remove from the oven and cut off the large end of the husk. 
  4. Working from the top, gently slide corn out of the husk.

TIPS FOR MAKING CORN ON THE COB

  • It’s better to undercook than overcook your corn, as it can get mushy if it’s cooked too long. You can tell when your corn is completely cooked when the kernels are tender and plump.
  • If you end up having a lot of extra corn, you can make corn salad with the rest of the corn kernels!
  • Be sure to cook your corn within a few days of purchasing to ensure the freshest results!

WHAT OTHER SEASONINGS CAN I ADD TO THE CORN?

Other than the usual salt, sugar, pepper, or butter, there are a variety of other seasonings that you can add to your corn.

Garlic butter and parmesan give the corn a perfect garlicky flavor. For some other variations, try adding chili powder for some spice or herbs for a fresher taste!

WHAT SHOULD I SERVE WITH CORN ON THE COB?

Corn goes great with almost anything you can serve at a summer picnic or barbecue! It goes great with baked potatoes, asparagus, pork chops, grilled chicken, and pasta salad.

WHAT’S THE BEST WAY TO STORE LEFTOVER CORN ON THE COB?

Wrap your leftover corn in foil and store in an airtight container for 4-5 days.

HOW DO YOU FREEZE CORN ON THE COB?

It is best to freeze the corn before cooking so don’t peel or remove anything. The husk will actually help prevent freezer burn.

Wrap the corn in plastic wrap and place it in a freezer-safe bag. Unboiled corn can be stored in the freezer for up to a month!
